I’m going on a trip to Australia with his family and most of use will continue to listen to music, but probably watch the odd film. They must be headphones and noise reduction is not necessarily a problem, it’s really just a little ‘quality and durability that I’m looking for (best quality) Thanx.

what headphone suggestions do you have? i need earbuds WITHOUT and in-line and WITH noise-cancelling or some other sort of noise reduction stuff. my price range is up to $150. silicone earpieces are preferable b/c i have funky ears. PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST THE IPOD HEADPHONES.

I have been using my Sony earbuds (Listed on package as “MDR-AS40EX”) for a while, and I loved the great sound and slight background noise reduction.

Then a little while ago, they suddenly got quieter. I never dropped them or caused any damage to them, but they got very quiet. On my Zune if I play a loud song on volume 20 (The max level) it is still medium sounding.

The sound is clear as it always was and everything is fine, but why did they get so quiet and can I fix this problem? These cost a bit to buy and the sound is fine so I just wonder how I can make them louder again.
